Chime Youngdung -President


His achievements are: In 1993, he was awarded the Best Boy of Central School for Tibetan Mainpat and in 1995 he participated in the Leadership training on Non-Violent Struggle at Delhi. He completed his Teachers’ training on PRT at Sarah Institute in 2000. He took active part in the leadership training on Tibetan Human Right at Dharamsala in 2002. In 2004, he partook in the leadership training on Conflict Resolution at Dharamsala and in that same year he successfully completed Workshop on Enhancing Communications and Facilitation Skills at Dharamsala.

His experiences: From 1994 to 1995 he was an Information Secretary of Indo-Tibetan friendship Society at Varanasi and after that for a year he did press officer of Indo-Tibetan friendship Society, Varanasi. From 1996 to 1997 he was the President of Culture and drama Committee, (CIHTS), Varanasi and in 1998, participated in the historic cycle rally campaign from Varanasi to Delhi. From 1998 to 1999 as an Assistance Secretary at India Desk (DIIR), Tibetan Government in Exile and after that over a year he did Multi- subject Teacher in Serkong Primary School, Lahoul Spiti, (HP). In 2001, he participated in the Gujarat earthquake relief works and in 2002 founded member of Gyelshen Lhenzom (Patriotic Get- Together) and worked as the main coordinator of the movement. From 2000 to 2004 he was a District Executive of Bharat Tibbat Sahayog Munch (BTSM) and from 2004 to 2006 he served as a General Secretary of NDPT.

On 11th May 2007, President of NDPT took participation in the Fifth International Conference of Tibet Support Group at Belgium in Europe. On that same year 18th to 26th of May, he attended a conference at Barcelona the city of Spain and at two cities of France and also given talk to Tibetans and foreigners on Tibet and its current situation. On 26th of that same month he attended an International Conference of Turin Declaration in Italy.

In 2008, he attended a meeting with the European Parliamentary members and had a debate on Tibet and its current situations inside and outside of Tibet. On 13th December 2009, under the organization of Tibetans in Italy, president of had given an introduction of National Democratic Party of Tibet to the Tibetans in Italy. And he also had meeting with England delegate in India, Italy delegate, America Delegate and Atlantic delegates in India and had a discussion with them about the Tibet. He is also leading participants in the march to Tibet in 2008 and he also participated in June Uprising of the year. He was the leader of ten marchers to Tibet in June and they had gone inside the nearest Tibet pass. In 17th May 2009, He attended in the Fourth CISL Trade Union (Piemonti) Conference with a topic based on relationship between Tibet and China in the up coming political situation and he had given a talk on it. In 2009, for the first time fifteen Tibetan Political students in India were able to attend a workshop in Italy under his organization. In December 2009, he attended a conference in Swiss and given talk on Tibet to Tibetans and foreigners.

His Current Responsibilities:

President of National Democratic Party of Tibet, District Incharge, BTSM, Indian Tibet Support Group. Member of Tibet Friend Hokkaido, Japan and member of Indo- Tibetan Friendship Society. State Executive Member of Himalaya Parivaar and Executive Member of Himachal Human Rights Council.

Ashang Lhakpa Tsering -Vice-president


 Born on 10th March 1959

1975 exiled in India and served 10 years in union military school

1994-1999 Dimapur Association’s election incharge for 5 years.Advisor of Dimapur Association2007, June 27, elected as the finance secretary of NDPT, March, 1970 discipline master and cashier of the Tibetan People’s Uprising Movement’s ‘March to Tibet’ activity.Currectly Excutive member of National Democratic party of Tibet.

Yangdol- International Secretary


2009, presently doing Master Degree in International Relations, University of Westminster, London

Recipient of Westminster International Scholarship for Post-Graduate International Relations Program 2009-2010.September 2008- September 2009, General Secretary of National Democratic Party of Tibet, Centrex office at Dharamsala.April 2008, final completion of Master Degree in English Literature, Stella Maris College, Madras University, Chennai.April 2006, completion of B.A in English Literature, Ethiraj College for Women, Madras University, Chennai.March 2003, completion of grade XII from Tibetan Children’s Village School, Dharamsala, H.P (CBSE).March 2001, completion of grade X from S.O.S Suja Tibetan Children’s Village School, H.P. Ngawang Jinpa-General Secretary


He did three years majored in Tibetan literature especially in Tibetan history and on composition studies at Sarah college, where he got degree as well as he got few prices on his compositions. At that time with five of his friends, they were able to publish a book called,” Chang Da” and than he did one year teaching course. Also took computer course for 6 months along with that he got job at Leh Lung Researcher Centre at Dharamsala as well as he did Tibetan language teaching at Gu-Chu-Sum Movement and at that time his second book called, “Tse Sok” got published. At present he is working at National Democratic Party of Tibet as a general secretary.

Dhondup Tsering- Finance Secretary


Born in Tibet on 22nd October, 1948

1959 exiled in Nepal and served Pokhara RTYC finance secretary from 1974-76

1979-85 served Pokhara RTYC president and vice president

1985-88 served as an advisor of RTYC

1988-91 served as Health President of Tashi Phulkyi

1986-88 was an executive member of Tibetan Freedom Movement

1988-90 was the director of Handicraft at Pokhara

1988-91 was the President of Tibetan Freedom Movement

1990-2000 was the founding member of ‘Help Tibet’ UK

1996- NDPT member and RNDPT president of Pokhara

Purang Paljor- Finance Secretary


Purang Paljor lak was born in 1972 in the Nyari region of Tibet. In 1991, he arrived in India, and under the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama he got an opportunity to study at Suja TCV School. In 1995, he jointed the Tibetan settlement in Manali in Himachal state. Shortly after that, he began to do social services with sincerity and determination. He became a U-Tsang Regional executive member and served in the Nyari Chithun Association. Currently he is President of the Nyari Chithun Association. From 1st June 2000 until 2006, he served as President of the National Democratic Party of Tibet. He was also a teacher at a Manali day school and sat on the Parents Committee for two years. Between 25th July 2003 and 25th July 2006, he took on the role of Vice-President of the Tibetan Youth Congress. From 2007 to 2009, he has been in charge of the 4th Manali Regional Committee. He is also currently an executive member and the cashier of the National Democratic Party of Tibet.

Sonam Tsering- Joint Secretary


Mr. Acharya Sonam Tsering’s Bio-data

He was born in 1975 in Pokhra Paljor Ling settlement at Nepal. And he did schooling from Paltikul and Upper T.C.V. School till 10th standard. In 1991 he got admission at Tibetan University in Varanasi and over there he studied in all the Tibetan Buddhism major subjects and Tibetan literature, English and also Sanskrit, where as he successfully finished his master’s degree (Achariya) from there. While he was at University, he actively participated and served in university co curriculums like being the President of Art and Cultural section and secretary of TCV charity association and coordinator of Indo-Tibet friendship association and also casher of Regional Freedom Programmers. In 2001, he graduated from Varanasi Tibetan University with B.ed degree and from there he had gone to Nepal and served in Tsong Tsen School under the Tibetan Government management for 2 years. From 2002 to 2003 at 27th and 28th Kalachara and also in 2006 at 30th Kalachara in Amravati under the organization of Central TYC he took volunteer service under the press sections. In 2007 he was nominated as an executive member of Dharamsala Regional Association and for over 3 years he served as secretary of association. Mr. Sonam lak has actively participated in many social programs and he is also very experienced person.

Sonam Gyal- Joint Secretary


Mr. Sonam Gyal was born in 1980 in Mangra, in the Amdo province of Tibet. From 1987 to 1993 he studied at the Mangra public school. In 2000, he arrived in India as a refugee and had the opportunity to study at Sherab Gatseling School. Starting in 2003, he studied in a private school called Perka School, until he began studies at Gang Chen Sherig Nazom Sheyun in 2006. In September 2007, he took on an active, participatory role as a member of the National Democratic Party of Tibet.
